Alongside dots, OpenAI introduced GPT-6.1 Sol, which Decrypt reports nearly matches GPT-6 Astra on coding and computer use at about a fifth of the token price. It opened the Agents API, with hosted computer use, in public beta; launched an OpenAI Marketplace for enterprise software; moved Codex into cloud environments; and said ChatGPT has 1.2 billion weekly users.
Why it matters
Cheaper tokens make always-on agents affordable to run, and the Marketplace gives OpenAI a procurement channel for the app layer, where Sierra has already announced a listing.
