Cloudflare Opens Beta for AI Agent Payment Gateway
Cloudflare introduced a Monetization Gateway beta that uses the HTTP 402 status code to let sellers bill AI agents for tokens, APIs, and MCP tools, according to blog.cloudflare.com. Ceramic.ai and other early adopters are already using the system, and U.S.-based sellers can now apply for closed-beta access.
